在模仿这个相同的情节。
在这种蚁群中，雌工蚁与最强的参与繁殖的蚁后从外表到身材上都没有区别。因此后者就以前者为敌，因为如果让普通雌工蚁“鱼目混珠”，就意味着交配权的丧失。
据日前出版的《自然》杂志报道，英国谢菲尔德大学的Thibaud Monnin和同事们通过研究发现，蚁后会用腹部的一种粘液来给普通雌工蚁作标记，从而提示其它的工蚁“扁”这个家伙。Monnin说，在所有动物世界中，这是最清晰无误的惩罚的案例。

我不知道是不是Linepithema humile,但Linepithema humile是单型的,可能是猛蚁族,单按文章内容看,它们应该是多蚁后品种.

The species is Linepithema humile (formerly Iridomyrmex humilis). It also occurs in the U.S. This species can quickly increase their colonies and are very aggressive and can adapt to the environment well. Therefore, it tends to be the dominant species where it occurs. The red imported fire ant in the U.S. also has the same characteristics and becomes a serious problem. This is not caused by gene variations. It is caused by their social behavior. Other ant species will be affected by the dominant species, but not to the extent of 90% loss.
Recently a paper described 2 supercolonies of L. humile. The main one ranges over 6,000 km from Italy to the Spanish Atlantic coast. I guess this paper aroused a lot of discussions. It is very possible for some ants to form very large colonies.
